Recap of this past week.

Wednesday: Team Meeting — set non-negotiable list; stress little things/expectations for summer sessions.

Thursday: Zero Point Day — Objective: How long can we play at high level before the effort and quality of play drops (soccer fitness)?

We played (11v11) 10:00 games with 2:00 rest (meet with coach — not a drink break) as many times as possible. There are balls laid out all over the perimeter of the turf and the players get the ball back into play as soon as possible. We got through the 10:00 game, 2:00 rest, 10:00 game, 2:00 rest, 6:00 game. 26:00 total.

Friday: Recovery Day — 50% rule: 13:00 is 50%.

We played (11v11) 6 games of 2:00 with 4:00 rest (coaching occurs during the rest). Intensity during those 2:00 has to be super high like Thursday. The 4:00 was awesome to speak with individual players or groups (backs, midfielders, forwards, one team, or both teams overall).

Solid start!

Observations: Communication has to improve! Verbal / Nonverbal. Every issue/mistake as a team was a communication breakdown.

Individual mistakes: Position Moment Direction Speed — each mistake individually falls into one of these 4 areas.
